Special Needs Education

NURTURING EVERY CHILD. EMPOWERING EVERY FUTURE.

The Pacific Group of Christian Schools has a long history of caring for students with additional needs.

In 1979 after a long search for a school that could accommodate the learning difficulties of their son, John and Robyn Odell, along with other families, undertook the initiative to establish a school for students who required learning support. They pioneered a school that was founded on Biblical values, with tailored teaching materials to support the students in a nurturing community. This model is the prototype for the group of 'Hope Schools' in the Pacific Group of Christian Schools.

A Hope-Filled Journey for
Every Learner

In 2015, New Hope Christian School was founded in Dural to provide Christ-centred education for children with moderate intellectual delays and autism. What began with a small group of students has grown into a flourishing group of Hope Schools New Hope, Pacific Hope, and Valley Hope all dedicated to serving families with compassion, excellence, and a deep commitment to God’s love.

Our Hope Schools are inclusive and nurturing Christian communities that specialise in education for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder or mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.

Each Hope School provides:

Supportive Spaces

A mix of sensory gardens, chill-out rooms, and flexible classrooms, designed to foster calm, focus, and wellbeing.
